We started with a simple problem: pants that stopped above the ankle.
178 was founded by Sarah Hatouka — 178cm tall, and tired of a fashion industry that treats height like an afterthought. Every pair of pants she tried was either too short, too baggy in an attempt to compensate, or altered so many times it lost its shape entirely.
So she built the brand she wished existed.
A size chart built from scratch
Instead of stretching standard sizes and hoping for the best, we designed our own sizing system from the ground up — for women between 170cm and 190cm. Every measurement, from rise to inseam, is proportioned for a taller frame, not just lengthened.
Handmade in Jordan
Each piece is handcrafted by Jordanian tailors using our size chart, in small batches. We're not mass-producing — we're making pants that fit, one batch at a time.
Our First Drop: Why linen, why now
We started with 100% pure linen because it's breathable, timeless, and holds its shape beautifully on a tall silhouette. This is just the beginning — as 178 grows, so will the collection.
